St. George’s parish was founded at Duffins Creek in 1832. This designated heritage building of Gothic revival design was completed in 1856 and is the oldest church standing in Ajax. The surrounding mature spruce trees, gravestones and wrought-iron railings complement this historical church. A new parish hall was constructed to the south in 1959, with an addition in 2003.
