The Augsburg Lutheran Church was the first Lutheran church in Brampton. It was organized in 1960 to serve the small German population. After meeting in various halls in Brampton, the congregation built the current church in 1963 at the Mill Street South location. Over the years, the congregation has grown and expanded and now serves the wider population of Brampton.
