Built in 1879 of local limestone in the Italianate style, the Guelph Waterworks Engine House and Pumping Station supplied a reliable water source to fight fires and supply good-quality drinking water in a growing city. Details in the window openings, the Matthew Bell-carved stonework, and curved brackets supporting the gable roof were all restored in 2020.
