Valley City 117 was instituted in 1873 as a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The meeting room features historical furniture and regalia, and the basement has a bar and stage where musical events have been performed for decades. Formerly the Merchants Exchange Hotel, this building has served many purposes – including a storage facility for William Lyon Mackenzie.
