St. Andrew’s United, built in 1890 as a Presbyterian church, amalgamated with local Methodists in 1921. At that time, the bell from the Methodist church was installed in the tower, where it is still rung to alert Queensborough that Sunday morning service is about to start. Of the four churches in Queensborough, this is the only one still in operation.
