In 1968, Malton Arena was officially opened by Chic Murray, the first reeve of the newly created Town of Mississauga. Today, it is known as Paul Coffey Arena, named after the legendary National Hockey League superstar who grew up in Malton. The arena, recently renovated, now features a mural by local artists that showcases Malton’s beauty and rich history.
