Port Hope Town Hall

Designed in the Victorian era, this building also has Greek revival and Italianate details. Completed in 1853 at three times the original estimated cost, then reconstructed in 1894 after a devastating fire, it was the hub of social and political activity in Port Hope throughout the 19th century. It still functions as Port Hope’s municipal office today.
