Once a modest brick saltbox home erected in the 1850s by the Proctors – one of the first families to settle in the village of Brighton – this building had become a grand Victorian mansion by 1867. Knowledgeable volunteers provide interesting tours throughout the home. Situated on 100 acres of parkland, visitors may also walk through the beautiful surrounding conservation area.
