This synagogue has a proud history. In 1907, the congregation held services in an apartment. In 1923, it moved to the corner of Murray Street and King Edward Avenue. Then, in 1973, it relocated to Ottawa’s Alta Vista area. In 2019, it celebrated 100 years since incorporation. It is the first Commonwealth synagogue to be granted a coat of arms.
