Public Services and Procurement Canada is delighted to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the work taking place at the Parliament Building (Centre Block) as part of this year’s Doors Open Ottawa. Centre Block is a familiar sight to many Canadians. And construction is well underway to restore and modernize it. Doors Open participants will discover Centre Block like never before!

Learn about the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project and how they are bringing a century-old building into the 21st century and beyond. During Digital Doors Open, visitors can enjoy a design walk-through of the Centre Block, take a virtual tour of the site, see how experts carefully removed the chandeliers in the Senate and House of Commons chambers, and learn about the beautiful murals in the House of Commons Reading Room designed by Arthur Watkins Crisp.
