Originally a market and opera hall, this Romanesque revival, three-storey, red-brick town hall features ornate sandstone trim, a central, gabled block and a circa 1890 clock tower. The building incorporates original round-headed arches with rustic stone voussoirs and hood mouldings. The tower is asymmetrically placed. Renovated in the 1980s, it remains a beautiful building well worth a visit.
