Fort William Historical Park

Opened in 1973, Fort William Historical Park features Fort William, the inland headquarters of the North West Company from 1803 to 1821, which at the time was the world’s largest fur-trading enterprise with posts stretching across North America. This reconstruction was built using period drawings and archaeological findings from the original site, located in Thunder Bay’s east end.
