Its monumental, ornate stone beaux arts portico with Ionic columns and other fine sculptural work makes this the grandest of Waterloo Region’s surviving Carnegie library buildings. The building owners have retained many original interior elements. Inside, find intricate ceiling plasterwork, pillars and pilasters, restored wood trim and broad staircase, and both stained and leaded glass.
